See the devices connected to your Mac

1. In the Finder on your Mac, choose Finder > Preferences.
2. Click General, then select the items you want to see on the desktop. For example, if you select “Hard disks,” icons for your hard disks appear on your desktop.
3. Click Sidebar, then select the items you want to see in the Finder sidebar.
